Administrative Simplification Agency

The Administrative Simplification Agency (ASA) is a federal service created within the FPS Chancellery of the Prime Minister.
One of the ASA's core tasks is the calculation of the administrative burdens imposed on companies and citizens by the federal government and the formulation of proposals for reducing these.
The ASA calculated that, if paper invoicing in Belgium were to be completely replaced by digital invoicing, then this could lower administrative burdens by as much as 3.37 billion euros.
In order to monitor the usage and perception of e-invoicing among Belgian companies, economic professions and citizens, ASA has been carrying out comprehensive annual e-invoicing research since 2013.
